How much is an aircon chemical wash in Johor Bahru?
Wall mounted units are RM100 each. Cassette and ducted units are priced once we've seen a photo, because dropping a ceiling panel and cleaning in place is a bigger job than a wall unit.
What's the difference between a chemical wash and a normal clean?
A normal clean takes the dirt off the surfaces you can reach. A chemical wash strips the unit down and treats the coil and blower with chemical, which is the only way to shift what has bonded onto the fins. If there's a smell, surface cleaning won't fix it.
How often does an aircon need a chemical wash?
Once a year suits most homes. Sooner if the unit runs all day, if you're on a main road, or if the smell comes back before the year is up.
Will it get rid of the smell?
In most cases yes, because the smell is usually mould on the coil or blower and that's exactly what gets treated. If it turns out to be coming from the drain line or somewhere else, we'll tell you rather than wash it twice.
Is it messy?
Sheets and a catch bag go on before anything is opened, and the run-off goes into the bag rather than down your wall. We clean up before we leave.
Can you wash a cassette or ducted unit?
Yes. Send a photo of the ceiling unit and we'll quote it. Those take longer because the panel has to come down and the drain pump gets cleaned out too.
Will you turn up on time?
You pick a slot when you book and the technician arrives inside it. If we're running behind, you hear from us before the slot starts.
